Voiceover and Narration
I love collaborating with my clients and I pride myself on being easy to work with, whether in-person or remote.
With a background in audio-visual technologies that gives me a leg up when managing a home studio, my love of reading and an innate understanding of pacing and dynamics make me a great fit for many types of text, short-form and long.
I have spent years working behind the scenes with some of the largest companies in the world and I understand the incredible importance of a strong brand.
Phil lives outside of New York City with his wife, two daughters, and a very senior dog named Elwood.
I am continuously working to improve my work through professional coaching and training. Recent workshops and 1-on-1 training sessions include...

"First the narration was splendid, enjoyed the voices very much. New names for me . The story line was great and well thought out. Lot of humor. Highy recommended this."
Embracing the Lemonade Life
While I am always happiest working on location in a professional recording environment, I do all of my auditions and quite a bit of my final recordings from my home recording booth. This recording space can be heard on all of my demos and audiobooks and has been vetted by an eminent industry recording engineer.
I use industry standard equipment and have multiple microphones, interfaces, and computers on-hand to ensure that hardware failures can never end a recording session.

"The audiobook production of Call Numbers is recorded by [Phil Gilbert]. He does a terrific job with the narration, assigning and performing individual voices for each of the main characters, reading in a strong, powerful voice and infusing the story with just the right amount of drama. Although this was my first time listening to this narrator, the more than 13 hours of the audio production passed in a very entertaining way and I can’t wait to get my ears on the next book in this series."
